Upstate History Alliance Staff
The staff of the Upstate History Alliance work together as a team, under the direction of Catherine Gilbert, to help provide resources and services to historical organizations in New York. Our goal is to empower organizations to become more relevant to their communities.

Ms. Gilbert has her Masters of Arts in Museum Education from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts/Art History. Her past work experience includes positions as the Coordinator of Outreach at the Miami Children’s Museum, Manager of Statewide Programs and History Day Coordinator at the New York State Historical Association, and Visitor Services Manager at Old South Meeting House. She has a balance of skills in management, education, and front-line museum experience.
In accepting the position, Ms. Gilbert stated, “Throughout my career, my goal has been to stimulate a desire to learn by connecting visitors to the cultural and historic resources available within their community. This goal aligns with the mission of the Upstate History Alliance.”
Jenny Rosenzweig serves as both the Program Coordinator for UHA and as the Regional Archivist for the South Central Documentary Heritage Program. As Program Coordinator she is responsible for editing the newsletter, updating the website, and coordinating UHA roundtables, meetings, and other programs and events. As the Regional Archivist she is responsible for coordinating DHP services for the region, including workshops, site visits, and consultations. Jenny has a BA in History from SUNY Stony Brook. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Jenny is happy to have moved upstate where her family has had a home for years.
Stephanie Lehner

Stephanie Lehner currently serves as UHA intern. She began in the summer of 2007 and will continue until May 2008. As UHA intern, Stephanie processes grant applications for UHA’s two grant programs, and is responsible for membership tracking. Stephanie is a Museum Studies Masters Candidate at the Cooperstown Graduate Program in Cooperstown, NY with an interest in Museum Administration and Development. She received a B.A. in Social Studies from Ithaca College in 2006during her time in Ithaca, Stephanie worked at The History Center in Tompkins County in the education department and fell in love with the field of museum work.
