These are especially challenging times for New York’s museum community and for the nonprofit community in general.  While our collective inclination may be to batten down the hatches, the better strategy may be to refocus on vision and mission as a means of building community connections, strong leadership, and financial stability.  We invited all museums across New York to come to Tarrytown to generate a new energy through conversations and networking about sustainability, cross-discipline collaboration, relevance, stewardship, and leadership.

We’d like to thank all those who made this conference possible.  Our conference sponsors provide vital support, our speakers contribute their time and expertise, our program committee reviews proposals, and the UHA and MANY boards provide perspective and guidance.  Greater Hudson Heritage Network and local museums helped with venues, contacts and other information.  An additional thanks goes out to those students that volunteered their time at this year’s conference.
