Online Courses

Museumwise has developed a series of four, four-week online Collections Care & Preservation Courses and a 6-week Collections Management 101 course. These courses are an ideal way for museum staff and volunteers to receive inexpensive but important training with a flexible schedule.

Collections Management 101 is designed for staff and volunteers at small and mid-size organizations. The course content was initially created by conservator Gwen Spicer, collections specialists Joann Lindstrom, Patti Ford and Linda Norris.

We're offering the following mini courses in a four-week online format.

Courses Offered:

  • Introduction to Reformatting
  • Climate Control for Small Institutions
  • Conservation & Preservation of Photographs and Albums
  • Basic Preservation, Care, & Handling of Paper-Based Materials

You may register for any one, or all, of the above classes. There are discounts for taking all four classes, and free registrations for qualified South Central DHP Constituents. Read on for details.
