Emlyn Koster, President and CEO of the Liberty Science Center in New Jersy, will be delivering the Keynote Address at the 2008 UHA/MANY Conference.

A science museum CEO for the past two decades, Emlyn Koster
is at the helm of one of the museum field’s most relevancy-minded institutions. Internationally experienced and dedicated to improving the links between science and society, he is a prominent writer and speaker about the external responsibilities of science museums as well as an active contributor to their main professional bodies.

Respect for Diversity: New Traveling Exhibit

The Upstate History Alliance in pleased to announce the availability of the newest traveling exhibit, Respect for Diversity, available for loan beginning July 15, 2007. This exhibit, which examines the rich diversity of New York State, and how that diversity is represented in museum collections, is designed to serve as a tool to highlight your collection.

Archives Exhibit Now Available

The South Central Region of the Documentary Heritage Program, administered by the Upstate History Alliance, is pleased to announce the availability of a wall-hanging exhibition that explores the meaning, use and preservation of archives and historical records. The exhibit uses images of historical records from repositories throughout upstate New York, including photographs, maps, and even an image of young William Seward’s math exercises.
